How Save the Date works
From first tap to private insights. Here's exactly what happens at every step.
Both people consent
Open the app and tap "Start Date." You'll get a pairing code to share with your date. They enter the same code to join. You and your date both explicitly consent before recording begins.
Your date receives a friendly text with a quick explainer and one tap to say yes or no. Always mutual, always transparent.
Put your phone down and be present
Place your phone on the table, face down. The app records in the background — both phones can be locked. A subtle indicator shows recording is active.
Audio is captured in 1-minute chunks using high-quality encoding. Each chunk uploads securely over HTTPS, then is deleted from your device.
End the date
When you're ready, tap "End Date." After the date, you spend about 30 seconds identifying which speaker is you in the conversation.
This is the only human step in the pipeline. It helps the AI attribute your words correctly for personalized insights.
Get your insights
Claude (by Anthropic) analyzes the full conversation and generates personalized insights. Your partner's words are paraphrased, never quoted verbatim.
You get insights in multiple formats: Reddit-style thread, compatibility analysis, communication patterns, and trend tracking across dates.
Audio and transcripts are deleted
Once insights are generated, all audio files and all transcript content are permanently deleted from our servers. Only your private insights and anonymized metrics remain.
The AI has no memory between sessions and does not train on your data.
